Tracey Welch
Parent Aide/Educator
Tracey graduated from Missouri State University and holds degrees in elementary education and educational leadership. She began her career in childcare, then worked at Lafayette House in Joplin as Coordinator of Children’s Services. She later opened corporate childcare facilities with Mercy Hospital in Joplin and Butterball in Carthage.
Her career in education includes working in public and parochial schools focusing on all grades PS-12. She just retired after 29 years in school administration.
Tracey has served on the boards of Lafayette House and NAMI Joplin, and has been an advocate for parents of children with mental health diagnosis and with parents grieving the loss of a child.
Tracey can almost always be found making memories with her family, especially her two grandchildren.
